For more than six decades, Dr. George Najor has built his career around caring for patients and helping generations of families maintain and restore their smiles. His extensive clinical experience has also created an opportunity to mentor the next generation of the practice, including Dr. Nicholas Shammami. At Najor Dental Center, that combination of experience and continued learning helps create an approach to dentistry rooted in thoughtful care, communication, and long-term patient relationships.

Dr. Nicholas Shammami, DDS

Dr. Nicholas Shammami represents the next generation of care at Najor Dental Center. A Metro Detroit native, Dr. Shammami earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2023. His approach to dentistry centers on building meaningful relationships with patients, helping them understand their treatment options, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions about their oral health. Over the past several years, he has also had the opportunity to learn alongside and be mentored by Dr. George Najor, combining a modern dental education with decades of real-world clinical experience.

Dr. Shammami earned his DDS from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, which has repeatedly earned national and international recognition and was ranked the No. 1 dental school in the United States by the QS World University Rankings in 2022.
